For the Sake of the Children is a supportive information program to help parents understand what they are going through during the separation, both legally and emotionally, and to learn more about the needs of their children.
Law Phone-In & Lawyer Referral Program
The Law Phone-In & Lawyer Referral Program is a service of Community Legal Education Association and provides general legal information and advice, over the phone and through email, in response to callers’ inquiries. The Lawyer Referral Service helps people find a lawyer. The lawyer to whom a client is referred will provide a free initial consultation lasting up to half an hour.

The section for Unrepresented Litigants has various resources dealing with family law, as does Publications and FAQ’s, including videos on child support, custody and access, separation and divorce, spousal support, how to conduct yourself in court and other videos on court procedure.
Legal Aid Manitoba
Legal Aid Manitoba helps people who are financially eligible, by appointing a lawyer for them. Legal Aid helps with family matters like divorce, custody/access and child and spousal support. Legal Aid does not handle family property division.
