Working with families to maintain child and spousal support payments set in court orders, agreements, family arbitration awards, and Child Support Service decisions through the Maintenance Enforcement Program.

The service recalculates certain child support orders at regular intervals, based on updated income information.

For the Sake of the Children is a supportive information program to help parents understand what they are going through during the separation, both legally and emotionally, and to learn more about the needs of their children.

The Law Phone-In & Lawyer Referral Program is a service of Community Legal Education Association and provides general legal information and advice, over the phone and through email, in response to callers’ inquiries. The Lawyer Referral Service helps people find a lawyer. The lawyer to whom a client is referred will provide a free initial consultation lasting up to half an hour.

Legal Aid Manitoba helps people who are financially eligible, by appointing a lawyer for them. Legal Aid helps with family matters like divorce, custody/access and child and spousal support. Legal Aid does not handle family property division.
